(not sure of the spelling, and too lazy to look it up). With a relatively green O-line, a new starter at running back and Patrick's propensity to run, it is certainly possible (no, I'm not putting a jinx on Pat) that Nic may need to play some. Hopefully we can play him early and often in our first few games. But what do we know of him?
I realize that he transferred from Iowa, a good program, and he was a recruit out of high school that gained some interest. I also know he is a fairly well-put-together young man. But other than watching him in pre-game warmups, where he appeared to have a nice arm, I don't really know what we're getting.
Can he run? Is he faster than Pat? Is he accurate on short, medium and long passes? Can he throw the long ball? Does he get happy feet in the pocket?
There are not many coaches who can help a kid progress at the position like Kliff, so I know the kid understands the offense, and can play the game. But I don't know what his strengths and weaknesses are.
