*in the extremely unlikely event that we are hunting for a new coach in december
meaning: no leach-tree coaches, former texas tech players, texas tech alumni, or other coaches that have been mentioned a lot (fickell, napier, etc)
my angle is going to be program builders - nothing flashy, likely not the highest ceiling hires, but should give us a high floor. looking for tubby smith-stule
willie fritz - took a horrific job and turned them into a respectable program within the AAC. big winner at all of his previous stops
todd monken - with the craziness of the UGA QB room, id say he’s doing respectably with a 4th string walk-on at the helm. offenses have been great in college and the NFL, and he revived
dave clawson - one of the best-known program builders active right now, he got horrific programs like bowling green and wake forest to be pretty good
jeff monken - look what he did with freakin army
lance leipold - managed a D3 dynasty for a long time (which may or may not interest you), but he’s turned buffalo into a consistent winner. zero texas ties, though
ive been on the fritz bandwagon for a while (and a couple others on here are too)
