So just by showing some interest in the NFL draft, hes about to get a major league contract, without ever playing an inning for the As. If this happens, it will at least have to cover an NFL rookie contract, which is reported at 15 mil overall (4 year contract, most likely).
Most mlb guys dont make the league for, at best, a few years, and then are on rookie scales and arbitration. Most mlb players dont make legit cash until they are around 30 years old (minus freaks like Harper, Machado and Trout). Kyler would get that right away. Essentially, kyler could end up being the worst player ever in the history of pro baseball, and the As will sink around 20 mil in him and he doesn't even have to leave low A ball.
Dont hate the player, hate the game?
