Texas Tech walked away from the weekend with a series win, and all around looked alright doing so. The pitching struggled once again, and the Red Raiders are hurt pretty bad from the loss on Saturday.

The Red Raiders are still around the high 60s in the RPI, which is decent with a massive opportunity awaiting you this weekend in Morgantown.

The Tech postseason chances are going to live and die in Morgantown against the conference leader and limiting another loss to a non-competitive team like game two on Tuesday or the series with the Jayhawks in two weeks.

The offense was really solid all weekend. Gavin Kash put better swings on the ball through the series than he has in a few weeks.

Bazzell, despite the ejection on Friday, turned in a quality day on Sunday and continues to be an excellent three-hole hitter in the lineup.

Ty Coleman and Zac Vooletich deserve their praise as well. Coleman has had a really good month and Vooletich is riding a 14-game hit streak where he is barreling the ball consistently.

On the mound, it was once again a struggle for the Red Raiders. Sam Houston had some really quality hitters in the lineup, and it was tough to see some of the guys get shelled the way they did.

Tech is desperate to find some help outside of Beckel and Free in the bullpen and they weren’t even excellent this weekend. You’re obviously in a tough spot and we’ve been over this quite a bit over the last few weeks, but there’s still some light at the end of the tunnel at the moment.
