The Lady Raiders got their 3rd Big 12 win in the second of the Texas Tech vs Kansas basketball games at Allen Fieldhouse today.
Ivonne Cook Taylor scored 19, Japrice Dean had 17 including 6 free throws to close it out at the end of the game. The Lady Raiders made 15 of 17 free throws.
For one of the few times in the Big 12 this season Tech scored more each quarter and avoided the super scoring droughts that have killed them in previous games.
One more before the Big 12 tournament, the Lady Raiders host Oklahoma on Tuesday night in the last home game of the season.
Kansas travels to TCU for the Jayhawks' last regular season game on Monday. If KU loses that game they will tie the 0-18 record set by Tech two seasons ago.
Finally, I watched the KU TV webcast on ESPN3. The lady that was doing the analysis called Tech the entire game the "Red Radars". It was excruciating. But the video and Tech radio call were so out of sync I couldn't watch one and listen to the other. "The Radars are shooting well from the line tonight." Ugh.
