Wife and I booked our trip to Boston through these clowns. Had hotels, rental cars etc all lined up plus tickets to the Skins/Pats Game on Sunday.
We were able to cancel the entire trip, even the non-refundable part because I had a Physicians note saying they were doing a biopsy on my wife for Breast Cancer. Her sister was just diagnosed with serious results and had started emergency chemo. Dr. wanted us to be around next week in case the results said surgery, so we just cancelled the trip.

Spirit offered us a whopping 60$ credit to be used within 60 days on over 500$ flights. Cancelling over a week in advance, mind you.
Glad we paid for the TransAmerica insurance policy through Expedia....I understand business models/practices, but at least have a conversation about it...or act like you are able to.

Won't wish death on anybody, but I will wish a massive, week-long case of the shits to anyone piloting those planes haha
Before anyone jumps up to lecture on reading the small print, Southwest and United have cancelled flights for us for almost no reason...the rest of the trip was also NON-refundable, but changes were made.

Not saying they can't make flights cheap and easy, just take the reviews you read seriously. I'm pretty sure I could have died and not changed the flights haha
