So my mom is having to go through things at my grandmother's house who passed recently and came across something I thought was really cool yesterday. My grandad, who passed in 1980 and I never knew, had a younger brother that was killed in Saipan in 1944 as part of the frontline initial assault.
Anywho, my mom found 10 letters that he had written to my grandmother and grandad from 1942 to 1944. Made we want to do some research on family members I never knew. Any of you guys or gals have relatives that were killed in in the Pacific War? Poor brave kid was only 20 years old. And if there are any Stamford Bulldogs on this board, he is buried in the cemetery in Stamford.
