Was losing Alan Bowman a blessing?

The best analysis I have read of the deficits of the KK era are from Will McKay. The principle
points are 1 - our team performed poorly late in the season 2 - we did not recruit enough HS
talent to go with our 'diamonds-in-the-rough 3 - our team showed no mental and physical
toughness (we won few games when losing at the half)

We may very well have been 8-4 with young Mr. Bowman. But the above flaws would continue. Would
Coach Kingsbury have 'figured this out'.....not likely. We would continue in the Leach mold
to win by outscoring our opponent....that will never lead to contending for championships IMO.

Leach got to the 'lip of the cup' this year and again lost to a program that has all of what I hope we
can get. Can that type of program be built at Tech?
