Have been voting by mail since 2012 when I turned 65. They must have change the rules because until at least about 2018 or 2019 I never had to send in an application to Dallas County at the first of the year to vote mail. I have had to do that the last 2 years at least. The first at least 5 or 6 years I automatically received ballots in the mail and I think it was about 2019 before I realized I was not signed up to vote by mail. My wife signed up last year because in the past I would make copies of my ballot and she would use it as a cheat sheet. I love it because I can go online and research judges and amendments that I would otherwise know nothing about. I know it is politically incorrect for Republicans to vote by mail now but as a registered Republican I was solicited by the Republcan party to vote by mail in 2012 when I turned 65. Also last year Beth Van Dyne who is my Republican representative solicited me to vote my mail and I told her I had already voted for her. As a Republican I see no problem with voting by mail as I feel better informed and it is easy. I do not see why as a Registered voter in Dallas County I have to fill out a form every year to continue to do this. Dont get the hate for voting by mail.
