The US News & World Report released their updated rankings this morning. Instead of assigning a numerical rank to each school, they instead placed schools into tiers. They evaluated medical schools based on two dimensions: research and primary care. This year TTU was one of fifteen schools to place in the top tier for primary care. It's great to see them receiving such great publicity.
Overall, the State of Texas did well with the rankings this year. Baylor College of Medicine & UT Southwestern were both in the top 15 for the research category, and UNT HSC joined us in the top 15 for primary care.
