OK, who's been driving 75 from LBJ up to McKinney and north of there?
I am thinking of driving from Dallas up to Sherman to go get my oldest daughter and bring her back home. Austin College and I guess the city of Sherman as well have been having water issues, first they told them to only drink bottled water, then yesterday they said don't flush the toilets, and now they have brought in porta-potties and put them all over campus for the students to use (it's currently 19 degrees). On top of that, with their water issues, food service in the dorm cafeterias has gotten pretty limited, so it's like freaking Lord of the Flies up there.
Thinking of giving it till mid-day to hopefully let some stuff melt a little more and then heading that way to bring her home, esp. now that we've had power for the last 24 hours, but wondering if anybody has driven any of that stretch and can tell me what to expect.
UPDATE: Package successfully brought home - although I wound up hauling home two of her friends as well. As noted, 75 was in pretty good shape, in fact, the only scary part of the trip was getting out of Lake Highlands, as all roads here are still covered in snow and ice.
