Don't sleep on anyone. Look, this tournament is famous for the champions and just as famous for the upsets. I can't count the number of upsets we've seen, or near upsets.

Two years ago #16 beat #1, and the same thing happened in 2018. We've had another 16 vs 1 go to OT, and twice the 1 seed has won by one. How about Dunk City, the first #15 seed to reach the Sweet Sixteen.

At the moment we only care about #14 seeds - I didn't have to check my notes for this one: Cleveland State knocked off Indiana in 1986 in a game where the Vikings were clearly the better team. In fact, 14 beat 3 twice in that same tournament.

Feels like nearly every tourney this upset happens, and you have to think back all the way to last season when #14 Oakland beat up on #3 Kentucky. ACU offed Texas in 2021, SFA beat West Virginia in 2016, Northwestern State beat Iowa, Bucknell beat Kansas, Mercer beat Duke...the list is long and the victories are glorious.

In any other, and I mean any other circumstance I'm pulling for the underdog. I'll pull for the underdog in nearly every game played this tournament except where Texas Tech is concerned. I want the Red Raiders to lay the Seahawks out on the sacrificial alter and go all Aztec on their hearts. I want the sun going dark, I want wailing from their mothers and girlfriends, I want volcanos, I want the earth trembling to the might of the Raiders.

I think our man @chaseallen_44 is putting together some thoughts on UNCW. I haven't seen them play this year so I got nothing. I do vacation on Figure Eight Island, which is about 20 minutes from the UNCW campus.
