Looks like the U.S. and western Europe are turning their back on Ukraine.

In my opinion we are potentially setting a dangerous precedent. The entire Ukraine deal smells like Nazi Germany's annexation of Sudetenland.

Now there are some significant differences between now and 1939 namely NATO. I just find it interesting that Ukraine saw this coming and has been requesting NATO membership for years. And NATO is like "Naw, that's a hard pass bruh." When everyone knows that Ukraine doesn't stand a chance against a full Russian invasion.

What I want to know is what does the West gain strategically by allowing the invasion to occur? It seems to me that the Europeans would be quite concerned about Putin's aggression and would draw a line in the sand. But expecting the Europeans to grow a backbone now is probably asking too much.

Anyway, we should expect the invasion occur and Russia to gain a stronger foothold in Europe.
