Has anyone else come across this new language being used by UH and the other schools in the American Athletic Conference? They've made a conscious effort to group the AAC with the Big 12, Pac 12, Big 10, SEC and ACC by using the term P6 instead of the more commonly used (and accepted) P5 term. Apparently, some of the schools even carry a P6 flag along with their school flags as they run out onto the field.
I don't fault them for trying, but it seems a bit childish to proclaim yourself one of the "big boys" when none of the big boys consider you to be a part of their club.
For an example, check out the UH twitter: www.twitter.com/UHCougarFB
The exact quote from a post earlier today brags that "Houston has won seven consecutive non-conference games against Power 6 schools."
Thoughts?
