Pretty interesting article about what Houston is trying to do which is create a fence around the city ala what Miami did in their glory days. I think Herman was a good hire and he seems to have some good ideas especially with recruiting. Houston has actually overachieved given the talent they usually sign.
As bad as TCU was for us, Houston would be another nutkick for recruiting. I think they are a ways off from getting in a power 5 if ever but given their location in a big city, growing academics, student body size, and overall decent athletic history they could be formidable.
Also I post this article because Wilder is not solid. However I think that is because we are distancing ourselves from his as has been documented from other sites. You can tell by his offers he is probably not a 4 star guy. Solid player but may not fit Gibbs' system. By his quotes he would be very interested in Houston if they could get some big name guys to jump on board.
