Two Weeks in Australia in July......what to do?

Planning a family vacation (me, Mrs. RedRdr and two teenagers) for July and debating between Australia, which has been on family bucket list, and one other choice.

Would like some feedback on Australia. @raiderroady has been helpful but looking for more input.

Get that it is winter down there so it puts a damper on some possibilities, but only time we can go with school situations. Flying into and back out of Sydney. Only thing we know we want to do is dive at Great Barrier Reef for about four days.

Open to any suggestions/advice.
