1. We couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun, even layups. That's just bad luck.
2. The refs allowed Villanova to play football every time we drove to the basket. Meanwhile, we were called for ticky tack fouls in the first half that allowed Villanova to pull away. For a while, every time we touched a Villanova player a foul was called.
Lets be honest. CBS surely wanted Villanova to win this game for TV ratings next week. Many ;in the populous NE would have tuned out if Tech had beaten the only team from the NE.
But in the end, we just couldn't make open shots.
Regardless, I am totally proud of Tech's basketball team. They had to beat quite possibly the best team in the country while being victimized by the refs. With a little luck, we could have won this game. We were that close.
But this is just the start. We will be back. Wreck 'em!!!
