if you have the Double T app you can hear it on the last 9 minutes of the First hour of the Sports Talk show with Thetford and Ashby this past Saturday. He actually called into the show and said he stuck his foot in his mouth trying to be funny at golf pro am he was playing with a couple of comedians and the radio host told him to be funny. He said he broke one of his cardinal rules by talking someone else down and deserved to be ridiculed. He was very complimentary of Lubbock and the people and said he had more friends here than anywhere else.
I'm not a fan of the guy, although I was drinking the koolaid when he was here, but I give him credit for calling in and eating humble pie. He didn't have to do that. I know a lot of you will spew venom at him for this as I did when I first heard his comment, but he said he is sorry and is sincere. So there you go, just found it interesting I stumbled on this and of course national media doesn't report this because it does not reflect poorly on Lubbock
