Observations:
1. 2004 Robert Johnson is the only 5* QB in school Rivals history and as the #9 National Juco Recruit he is the biggest national commitment at QB in school Rivals history.
2. 2004 Graham Harrell continues to be the highest ranked QB signee in school Rivals history as a 5.9 4* ranked as the 7th best QB in his class and the 24th best player in Texas regardless of position.
3. 2010 Scotty Young is the only nationally ranked prospect at #228 in school Rivals history.
4. 2007 Stefan Loucks is the lowest ranked QB signed in school Rivals history as a 5.2 2*.
5. 2014 Patrick Mahomes is historically criminally underrated.
6. 2015 Jarrett Stidham was an absolute devastating last minute loss that we never recovered from, until Joey McGuire.
7. We have gotten a lot of mileage from walk-ons like Baker Mayfield, and transfers like Tyler Shough.
8. I do wonder what kinds of rankings that Kliff Kingsbury, BJ Symons, Sonny Cumbie, and Cody Hodges would have received.
9. Leach gave us Harrell, Potts, and Doege. Kliff gave us Webb, Mahomes, Duffey, and Bowman. Wells gave us Donovan Smith and Behren Morton. McGuire has given us Strong and Hammond.
10. I still think that Seth Doege is one of the most under appreciated Texas Tech QBs of the era and maybe all-time.
