I remember an interview last offseason where JM said he wasn’t thrilled the “Everything runs through Lubbock” was used in a social media capacity. He said it to the team in a post game speech not knowing it would be used by marketing.

Well, he’s getting completely clowned online by UT fans and other fanbases for the comment. Also by some of our own joke fans. He’s got to be pissed that was used without his consent.
It reminds me of the marketing failure after we hired Kliff to run with “Our coach is hotter than your coach”. And I remember Kliff not being happy with that slogan as well.

Our marketing department is completely awesome. But there’s been a few instances where we’ve made asses of ourselves. Does the coach not get more say in what gets out out there?
