Not too long ago the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that California's new law to require a candidate (Trump specifically) who appears on their ballot must release their tax returns is unconstitutional.
Last Friday, a state judge in New York ruled that the State of New York could release Trump's tax return. Today, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals placed a stay on the New York ruling. It also suggested that the issue was serious enough of an infringement on any President that it's likely to rule this order would be improper and likely unconstitutional.
