Have been meaning to ask about this for a while, and good God do I need a short mental health break from basketball. So, I beg your indulgence to give me some help planning a family getaway to GNP this summer. As I've said before, the $10 a month here would be worth it just for the travel help.
Thinking we are going around end of June and staying through July 4th or so, with me, wife, and two kids (ages 16 and 12). I think the best bet is to try to fly American into Kalispell, Montana, but let me know if there's a better place to fly into.
I kept thinking I should book something way in advance, especially if I want to get a spot in the lodges or anything over the week of July 4th, but I'm still not sure where all to go and what to do. I gather there is an east side and a west side, so not sure about the advantages of one or the other, or if we should try to do both.
I also hear that it's an easy trip up to Canada and their National Park just over the border, so we probably need to get on top of the passport thing to make sure we have them in time - let me know if anyone has done that.
Also curious about itinerary and stuff to do. Mainly I just like to hike and explore, but open to other ideas.
I am guessing I need to start jumping on booking flights and stuff, so look forward to hearing what everyone recommends.
TIA.
