So we are kicking around family vacation this summer. We have a high school Sr (who is 99% sure going to Tech) but thinking about taking a tour through SEC country and ending up at the beach. None of us have really spent anytime in the Southeast and wanting to check it off our list (even though I know the heat is going to beat me down in July).
Here is my thoughts that I just came up with in the last 30minutes
Day 1 Fly from LBB to Memphis
Rent a car and Drive down to Oxford and look at Ole Miss (1.5 hr drive) then head to Tuscaloosa and spend the night.
Day 2 Head east Into Georgia go thru Atlanta and into Athens to checkout UGA. Then maybe go down to Augusta and see if they will let me catch a quick 9 at Augusta National
Day 3 Onto South Carolina and see what the Gamecocks have to offer then head onto Charleston for a few days at the beach (also hear Savannah GA is great).
Any recommendations? Must sees along the way?
