Well, the defense is officially ranked last again in total defense. I'm surprised a little, but not at the same time. Oddly enough, the eyeball test says they are improving, but rankings say otherwise. Here are the stats:
Last week:
- 3rd down defense - 89
- 4th down defense - 91(tied with 2 others)
- Rushing defense - 115
- Turnovers gained - 119 (tied with 5 other teams)
- Scoring defense - 124
- Red zone defense - 95
This week:
- 3rd down defense - 87
- 4th down defense - 90 (tied with Ole Miss and UVA)
- Rushing defense - 117
- Turnovers gained - 117 (tied with 5 others)
- Scoring defense - 124
- Red zone defense - 93 (tied with Indiana)
This week, I'm going to add the offensive stats that correlate with the defensive ones. If you want a stat added, just request it. Total offense is still 2nd, behind Louisville.
- 3rd down conversion - 2nd (only trail Western Michigan)
- 4th down conversion - 66th (tied with 12 other teams)
- Rushing offense - 122
- Turnovers lost - 44th (tied with a lot of others)
- Scoring offense - 3rd (trail Louisville and tOSU)
- Red zone offense - 20th (tied with Michigan)
