Reached out to many defensive backs with Duke offers around the country, will update as I hear back from more.

The question I asked everyone was "Did coach Jones recruit you while at Duke and if so, what are your thoughts about him?"

“I mean when I sat down and talked to him he seemed like a really cool dude and a good coach.”

“No sir, Coach Jones didn’t recruit me but I did get a chance to talk to him at my unofficial visit to Duke. He was cool & very knowledgeable about the position.”

"Great coach. We talked a couple of times."

"That man has a lot of knowledge in general, especially when it comes to football. Coach Jones is a man about education first before football, that’s one thing I did like about him a lot. He just shared his love for the game and he talked about family and brotherhood also and building relationships with your brothers."

"Yes sir I was recruited by him and Coach Kasper. He’s a great man, I would love to continue my relationship with him and see if he is interested enough to offer me but other than that I think he’s a great coach and I know I will have his best interest!"

"Yes sir he recruited me at Duke, he’s a great coach. Love all the drills he had for us at the camp."

"Yessir he played a role in my recruitment from Duke. Coach Jones is a great man before anything else. He really emphasized the importance of being a good person off the field before anything else, and he’s obviously a great coach holding a defensive backs coaching spot for over a decade. All respect to him."

"That’s big, that puts Texas Tech on my radar. Coach Jones is one of the best DB coaches at any level. Hopefully he extends an offer so we can continue our relationship. Hell of a coach, top 5."

"Yes, he and Coach Matt G and Coach Joe Kasper recruited me. I think he’s a great guy, he’s been in the game for a long time and he knows what he’s talking about. I loved his style of coaching and what he represented as a coach. The short time I had with Coach DJ, he taught me many life lessons that happen in football. It would have been an honor to be coached by him."
