Tuberville is trying to pull another fast one on Alabama residents. First, he convinced them to send a sack of hammers to the U. S. Senate to represent them, and now he is trying to run for the governor's chair in Alabama. The Alabama constitution apparently states one must be a resident of the state for the preceding seven years prior to running for governor. The problem is that he lives in Florida, owns no property in Alabama, voted in Florida in October 2018, but claims a homestead exemption on a home in Alabama owned by his son, Tucker.
In order to run for the Senate seat he currently holds, he only had to live in Alabama for one day prior to the election. His wife is a real estate agent in Florida and does not hold an Alabama real estate license.
I guess he and Tulsi Gabbert think the same way. She owns a house in Texas, claims a homestead exemption on it, and votes in Hawaii. So I guess voter fraud really may be an issue, afteall.
