A few thoughts from the easy win last night...
*If you're a good basketball team, you streamroll through cupcakes like Kennesaw State. The Red Raiders did that, and they did it in emphatic fashion by completely dominating most of the night on the defensive end, particularly on the boards and in the paint. A 48-6 scoring margin in the paint and 17-5 offensive rebound margin is something that should grab your attention on any night against any opponent.
*And those margins come because your big men had their best night of the year. Norense Odiase rebounded extremely well, Tommy Hamilton got to work on offense, and Zach Smith was as aggressive on offense as he's been all year. Now, a lot of that was because Kennesaw State essentially had no big men, but it is what it is. You'll take it, and you hope it's a confidence booster for the coming Big 12 slate.
*The athleticism of this team really jumps off the page when they play teams they totally outmatch like this. The game turned into an aerial fireworks show because of Tech's length and hops, and it was a whole lot of fun to watch.
*The thing I think you were the happiest about is the fact that you were off 8 days and still came out of the gates hot with great effort on the defensive end.
*That's it, not a ton to glean from last night as a whole. Was just a total landslide mismatch.
