My father-in-law, 87 years old, fell and hit his head today. He also suffered damage to C2 vertebra and coded in ambulance on way to Covenant. They did CPR and brought him back, but he is extremely critical. Probable stroke that caused the fall, and possible brain damage from oxygen deprivation.
In putting feeding tube /main line to stomach, they discovered hole in his stomach. Family is making decision about whether to OK surgery, which has poor outlook for success, and would mean very poor quality of life in any days left, or let him go.
Charles Louder is 87, a Tech grad from 1950s, tough-as-nails Lynn County cotton farmer and ginner, and a longtime and substantial Red Raider supporter. Prayers coveted for family and a hard decision to make.
