Got to go to the Frisco Centennial-The Colony game tonight and check out WR commit Myles Price.
First of all the thing that impressed me the most is he played every snap except for 1, special teams included. He's on kickoff, kick return, punt, punt return, starts at corner, starts at WR. He also played safety a few snaps and even took a direct snap at QB.
The one snap he didn't play was because he took a screen pass 50+ yards the play before, it was called back due to a flag, and he was probably gassed. Took 1 play off and came right back in though.
Defensively Price was aggressive and despite his smaller frame was not afraid to stick his nose in there. He was good in man coverage, got lost in zone a couple times and got beat for a TD once but like I said he played damn near every play in this game so that'll happen.
Also showed his versatility on defense being able to play safety.
That screen pass above really got his game going. Up until that catch and run he hadn't done much but from there he was the best player on the field. Like it says in the tweet, that was a 4th and 15 so just shows what kind of trust the coaches have in Price to make guys miss in the open field.
That isn't my video but that was a 3rd and 13 or so, just a simple dig and then look at the moves in the open field and the speed. Really impressive and that was a tie game at the time too.
The next play Frisco Centennial fumbled inside their own 10, Price took the direct snap and ran it in for his 3rd TD of the night. He really dominated that 2nd half especially and I don't have his final stats but it was over 120+ yards with those 3 TD's and numerous stops on defense.
Other thoughts...
- The Colony WR Keith Miller, former Tech commit and current Colorado commit, was huge and really good too. He reminds me of Denzel Mims from Baylor and he's going to be a stud in college for sure.
- The Colony DB Christian Gonzalez, current Purdue commit was also as advertised and like Price he played both ways and nearly played every snap. He doesn't look fast when you watch him but he just glides and runs away from people. He had a kick return touchdown and also a receiving TD on a go route where he toasted the corner.
