A friend/co-worker of mine and I paid about $130 per ticket in the upper corner for the KU game and are driving close to 8 hours after work Friday to Lubbock for the game. My buddy is a Missouri grad and therefore hates KU, so he'll be pulling for the good guys.
Last night I saw this team gut it out without their leader, best player, current favorite for Big 12 POY, and one national pundit's vote for national POY, outscore one of the hottest teams in the country by 2 points in the second half at their place. We don't yet know the status of Keenan, but God forbid if we are without him long term, this team, with their toughness and under the leadership of Beard and his staff, will find a way to get it done at home against the Big 12 chosen ones. I don't intend to make this trip to see my Red Raiders lose.
On a more personal note, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Keenan Evans, but I know some of you have. By all accounts he seems like a really nice young man and great ambassador for our university. I am really hoping for his sake that he is physically able to finish his tremendous senior campaign in a manner he deserves.
