In 2013 I lived in Wichita, KS. If you live in Wichita everyone loves the Shockers, it doesn't matter where you went to school. Everyone goes to the games. Yea, not much else to do but they play in a nice arena and put a great product on the court. Plus everyone loves Greg Marshal.
That year they lost to cheating Louisville in the final four. They were led by two young sophomores, Fred Van Fleet and Ron Baker. Clay Anthony Early was a senior and future NBA draftee. They jelled as a team and beat a lot of more talented teams. They were just very mentally tough.
