I just want this staff gone. I get that Gibbs is a good coach but he sucks at recruiting, he really sucks. If you are a good coach you do both, and if you can't you hire people that can.

There is no 'trust the staff' with me. This is unacceptable by any standard.

Implications on the next 3-5 years are you have to have a good year this year, and then convince these kids you are going to be there and sign 15 GOOD defensive players to try and restock the pipeline.

What happens if we win 8 games and still can't recruit and sign another garbage class all but insuring a massive car crash of a season by 2019 or 2020.

Its just BS, there are plenty of good prospects in this state and they got destroyed by the early signing period. How can you plan that poorly? I am so tired of this on the job learning BS. If you get to work at 4am everyday supposedly, none of these thoughts ever crossed your mind?

It is so poorly planned, that even best case you are playing freshman at some point in the next two years because you didn't recruit the year before similar to WR this year since we didn't have one last year.

You don't have to beat OU and UT. I get that its hard to recruit because of job security, well keep going down the line until you get a good player and not waiting until the last minute. Just raiding UH, SMU, Tulsa, etc classes a couple of months ago would have made this class at least respectable. You have brand new facilities to sell! Hell a former SMU DT is going to sign with UT that you could have got to sign in the early signing period had you gone after him.

Also for all of the Gibbs evaluations, how many guys did we freaking drop because our evaluations were off? So great we didn't sign them, but we also replaced them with either no one or a decent kid that can't play.

I can't root for a bad year for Tech football but even trying to sign the Rice DT, this whole thing is so damn short sighted and set up just for next year. If Kliff is fired this year, then you bring in a coach who needs to sign a lot of players and will be behind the 8 ball especially with the new early signing period thereby screwing up back to back classes and putting him in a hole he has to dig out of for years.

In the same way that we look back on how Kirby messed up Kliff's contract, it will also be looked back on how bad it hurt us that he wasn't fired this year.
