I have great faith in Gibbs. Recently when I had heard how Gibbs was totally committed to this for the long haul I had suspicions something like this would happen. I hate it for all involved but watching U of H play defense makes me as excited about the future of this program as I have been in years. There is no doubt in my mind that we would be 10-2 right now if we had U of H defense. A defense filled with mostly 2 and lightly recruited 3 star guys. Guys we can get very single year...or better. Just need a system to recruit to and a template of what kind of athlete we need to make it work. Gibbs will be our Bennett, only better.
Boys...our days of embarrassingly bad defense are numbered. Maybe we are not world beaters next year...but very very soon. I am not exaggerating a bit when I say I expect us to start fielding teams very similar to what TCU had last year on a regular basis.
