Hopefully this is a pointless exercise and the “insiders” are full of shit but every update from the various threads seems to indicate Tech is going to be searching for a new HC soon. This is purely for fun to kill time until we know what will happen.
Will Wade - McNeese state HC. Turned the program around bigly in one year. One year left on show-cause. $1.25mm buyout. Would tech lose him after that one year after rehabbing and eating the last year of the show-cause?
Andy Kennedy- UAB head coach. Rumored heavily last HC search. .640 win rate as a college HC. Attainable buyout
Chris Jans- Miss State HC. Rumored briefly last cycle as well. Impressive results at a bad program. Seems tied to every job that opens but never moves, maybe he likes it there and just likes to leverage better pay. Higher buyout than the earlier coaches.
Sean Miller- Xavier HC. Historically great coach, likely biding his time until a bigger job comes calling
Jerome Tang (only because people seem to still want him) - Fraud, large buyout
Chris Beard - Basketball Leach, will be mentioned every opening for the next 20 years, large buyout
Kellen Sampson - Kelvin’s son and right hand man at UH. Unproven as HC but has a good deal of experience regardless. Minimal buyout but would require prying him from pops and HCIW spot. High risk hire
