With 12 minutes left, I hear this kid say “thanks for the tickets mom” as he and his mom were leaving the game and descending the stairs of section 233. As I turn to get a glimpse of this polite child, I notice he’s wearing a navy gap hoodie and bears a striking resemblance to Tech’s infamous GAP kid.
In that moment, I felt a calm and just knew we were gonna win the game. TCU had the ball at that point and it looked dicey, but I just knew in my gut that Tech would win the game. I’m not a big believer in signs, but that was definitely one and we went on to pull out the W.
