Apologies if this idea has been floated but has anyone considered making the fox somewhat of an official mascot?
Obviously we are the Red Raiders and the matador is in there as well but other schools have multiple mascots i.e. Auburn. Auburn has the tigers but they have the whole war damn eagle that they really get behind.
The fox has already gone 2-0 when running on the field at TCU as well as ASU so it has its own bit of lore. Its also a pretty unique animal as well. Red fox can go with red raiders.
Maybe its a dumb idea but just having a fox habitat the way Baylor has the bears could be a nice way to add further tradition to the program and another thing for fans.
