I know this has been made previously but if you haven't watched Jett's Sr highlights, check them out and then read. His Jr stuff was good but his Sr tape is far better imo.
Jett is a legit 5'11 if not 6 ft which is exactly where Johnny was and while he is a little more stout I don't think Jett will have an issue adding some bulk if he hasn't already according to Kingsbury 205 comment.
The opening run as well as multiple runs in the highlights are pretty special and against good competition. He has really good speed but the agility and jukes are also impressive. In highschool he runs more to run unlike Pat and more like the failed NFL QB.
Jett has good arm talent that will get better over a year or two in the weight room. I wouldn't say his arm is elite but manziel's wasn't either. He is very accurate and has plenty of zip.
I am a little baffled that he didn't have big programs coming after him late but he committed early and may have told them no thank you and perhaps they were full already. Most likely the former.
Also I think if you look at the numbers which are very impressive, they are also heavy in rushing like the Kerrville mafia's own. Perhaps some don't like the comparison but the kid was damn good and a heisman trophy winner which we would gladly take plus Jett has a way better attitude and is also a fierce competitor. With the way we have recruited OL and offense in general he should have a lot of help as well as the same OC that the woman beater did.
Also if just look at the company of the previous winners of all the awards he keeps piling up, it's a damn impressive list including the undercover Vegas drunk himself. Kyler Murray is a midge and was ranked a five star when he was surrounded by talent at a dominant program. The fact Jett was only ranked a 3 star while leading a de novo program to the state final is not just sad but irresponsible.
Some people shy away from the comparison because the aggie assclown was so good but with the same OC to develop him, I don't think this will be the last time it's made. Pat and Jett back to back is going to be fun and if Gibbs can get a defense maybe we can get over the hump.
