That purchase you made that seemed really high at the time-

For a number of years I have cussed my $20-30 ice chests. Wanting to buy a Yeti cooler for their incredible performance I delayed this sort of purchase a couple of years because they seemed too highly priced. Last week at the deer lease I saw an Engel cool and a Brute cooler that was very similar to the Yeti but not quite that high in price. After losing six bags of ice in my Coleman cooler in less than 12 hours I came home and ordered a 75qt Brute cooler from Overstock.com. $380 delivered.

It came on Tuesday and I dropped 10 gallons of ice in it and put it outside my shop in the sun. This morning there is still 50% ice to water (having started at 100% ice). I'm tickled by this and feel good about the purchase.

Anything that you all have bought that was a bit uncomfortable initially to justify? Benilli Vinci shotgun comes to mind too.
