As the final hours of 2017 tick down, I want to extend a sincere Thank You to each and everyone of you for consistently bringing laughter, providing authentic WTF moments, commentary that increases / decreases my self-esteem, and through it all, whether it be personal, professional, and/or tragic times of need, a group of Red Raiders who have always stepped up for one another.
This board and those of you who reside in my Safari browser have become just as much of my day as my morning s***, shower, cup of coffee, and conference calls. Learning the personalities and expected commentary that align with specific usernames and avatars has become as common place as understanding which uncle can be taken serious over the holidays and which can’t, who to lean on for advice, & who to ask for a favor. RRS has become my personal Cheers or Central Perk with each of you playing a significant role in the experience. As cliche as it sounds, you have all become a part of my extended family in a strange social media way, but my scarlet & black heart appreciates each and every one of you!
I’m sure this will serve as a TL;DR post, but screw it. Despite the frustrations of football and women’s basketball, I want to thank each and every one of you for a wonderful 2017 and wish you and yours an even better 2018 filled with quality health, personal fulfillment, professional prosperity, and many priceless Texas Tech sports moments! I raise my glass to you all on this fine evening!
