I know this seems to be a battle for Tech year after year, but when you are playing in the Sweet 16 & Elite 8, you’d think the media would be better prepared and/or able to immediately correct themselves when making this error, but in the past week:
- Candace Parker referred to Tech as Texas A&M
- Stan Verret referred to Tech as Texas
- Adam Lefkoe (while discussing the Elite 8 game) said, “Florida & Texas”
These are just 3 I’ve personally seen. Who knows how many more times it has happened. Does any other school in the country get mistaken, accidentally referred to as a rival(s), or as disrespected as Tech? I never hear VT referred to as UVA or GT as UGA, etc…
