Was a somewhat chilly morning in the 806. Nonetheless, Tech football had their final Saturday practice of the spring. Here are my notes from this mornings practice.
Started practice with a tug of war contest. Safe to say the OL dominated on both ropes
RPO a point of emphasis to start practice
ST were also a point of emphasis. Were working on late clock situations.
QBs worked on footwork in the 2nd period. Colombi, Shough and Smith in that order of reps.
McNamara continues to have a really strong spring. Had three punts of 50+ yards and one of 60+.
OL vs DL drills
Storment stood out, really used his hands and length well
Rogers is a bit bigger and was at RT. Had good footwork and used his base well
Burgers move inside to RG looks to be progressing well. Really good communicator on the OL
1 on 1’s
Jed Castles really stood out in 1 on 1’s vs LBs and DBs. He put a move on Monroe that created 3-4 yards of separation. Also had a highly contested over the shoulder catch on the sideline.
QBs
Colombi, Shough and Smith got the most reps. Shough got the most reps of the three QBs.
