UPDATE: Texas Tech dismisses WR from program

Texas Tech just announced that Quan Shorts has been dismissed from the program. No reason was given, and the athletic department's statement said Texas Tech would have no further comment.

UPDATE, 5:27 p.m.: Shorts is currently being held at the Lubbock County Jail. The online jail records do not currently list why he was arrested.

Shorts was arrested earlier this year for disorderly conduct.
