Texas Tech's 2016-17 Big 12 schedule was released this afternoon.
The Red Raiders will open up Big 12 play on Friday, Dec. 30 at Iowa State. The team's Big 12 home-opener will be the following Tuesday, Jan. 3 against West Virginia.
The good news for Chris Beard's team is that home games against Oklahoma (Feb. 4), Kansas (Feb. 11) and Texas (March 1) will all take place well into the spring semester, which should ensure a solid student crowd.
