Terence Steele game intro

When the video player intros were shown during Cowboys v Steelers game, instead of saying "Texas Tech" Terence Steele introduced himself being from "Cibolo Steele High School", whereas most players state their college. I've wondered why a player would not state his college, and now that one of our own does it-makes me wonder if they are very proud of their hometown (and maybe in Terrence's case, the names are the same!!), or not a supporter of their college?
