Scott Drew said before the game yesterday that Tech was a few seconds away from being an undefeated team. I didn't really think much of the comment, just chalked it up to him saying something good about his buddy's team... But after looking back, man he's absolutely right. This team could have easily snuck out of there with a couple of those wins. Especially the Iowa State game.
And yes, I realize we could look at this from the other angle and look at close wins that could have easily been losses as well (i.e. Houston). But GM and his staff have had this team in every single game down the stretch with an opportunity to play for a win at the buzzer.
St. Joes-- Trailed 78-77 (Ended up being the final score) with 13 seconds remaining in regulation.
Texas A&M-- Trailed 64-61 with 50 seconds remaining in regulation.
UCF-- Trailed 84-83 with 37 seconds to play in regulation.
Iowa State-- Led 84-83 with 18 seconds remaining in OT.
