One of my favorite parts of Red Raider Basketball is the quality of person Beard is and brings in this program while also having elite talent. This is includes coaches as well.
Whether it’s listening to the difference Beard made in Francis’ life, father like figure for Moro, way he dealt with Corprew, how he is with his daughters and just the way Beard and co deal with his players(past, current and future) he’s just a great dude.
Beard won’t win every game, but this team is a lot of fun to follow win or lose and is a shining example for Texas Tech.
Meanwhile you have a Kansas program caught cheating(awaiting punishment), pole dancers at pep rallies and their team starting a brawl.
Kansas may have a few more accolades, but I’ll take Beard over Self everyday and our program over theirs every time.
