He won the Texas State Junior Championships with 8-under (208). He finished T35th at the Junior PGA Championships with an even par (288). He would have finished in the top 15 or so if he did shoot a final round of 7-over 79.
Sean Hooper (track) running for the USA at the Junior Pan Am Games won 2 gold medals for running legs on the 4X100 and 4X400 relay teams. Their time in the 4X400 finals of 3:00.33 set a new world junior record in the 4X400.
