It drives me crazy to read on here how our football coach job isn't a great opportunity or is somehow not a place that a top tier coach would want to come to. A "stepping stone" job as some have alluded.
Granted, the bar has been set very very high by the general Tech alum and fan. So damn high it elevated the rest of the conference in the last decade.
But there is NO reason to assume that we can't get a top notch candidate to want to come to Tech and coach football. Our fan base, facilities and overall culture are second to none I would argue.
And for those who start throwing in the SEC schools as being better, I say the unrealistic expectations of the fanbase diminish those jobs. Unless you are Nick Saban who seems to be able to co-exist with BMD's a Bama, but who is arguably the only one in the country who could do so, you are gonna be one miserable sob at some of those schools. Look at the fiascos that have happened at Arkansas, Ole Miss, Auburn.
Seriously, we have a ton to sell about our culture. I, for one, believe its a GREAT spot for an elite coach to land.
