Anyone know when/where/opponent to these?
On another note, while we'll have some young guys in our rotation, both Mooney and (I believe) Odiase went to a year of prep school after HS. They both also RS'd in college. B Fran & Tariq used RS years. So we'll have 2 guys that are 6 years removed from HS, and 2 that are 5 years removed. That's plenty old man game, and not what you'd expect after losing 5 seniors.
Then you have Moro, who's played a ton of basketball in Italy, and Culver, who's played a bunch of Big 12 basketball (and is also a lottery pick/best pro prospect in the conference).
It's really hard to not get excited about this year's team. I'm all but certain that Mooney is the baddest white dude in the country and a pro prospect. Tariq's defensive & rim protecting metrics are off the chart, quite literally. Norense's rebounding metrics are similar.
I think we will play a little different next year. On offense, we were towards the bottom of the country last year in terms of pace of play and 3 pt shots taken. I expect us to push tempo a little more and shoot a few more 3s. On defense, I'm interested in what Mark Adams/Beard's inverted pack-line defense looks like with an elite rim protector. I'm surprised there's not more basketball pieces about our defensive scheme.
