Sandy Scott and his Scottish teammates won the European Amateur Team Championships today. They beat Sweden 5-2 to win the title. Tech current player Hannes Ronneblad and new signee Fredrik Nilehn lost to Sandy and his teammates in the title match.
Scott and his partner lost 3&2 to Ronneblad and his partner in the pairs part. Scott and Ronneblad played each other in the individual part and they ended up halving the match. Meanwhile Nilehn and his partner lost in the 21st hole to Scotland's pair. Nilehn then lost in the individual match 4&3. Ronneblad and Nilehn and their teammates finished 2nd in the championships.
Current Tech player Federico Zucchetti and his partner won 2&1 over the pair from Denmark. But Italy ended up losing to Denmark 4.5-2.5 to finish in 4th.
